General Specifications
Optical Mechanics, Inc. manufactures a wide range of optical tube assemblies from 10" through 40" in both Classical Cassegrain and Ritchie-Chrétien configurations. Standard optics are made from Pyrex with zero expansion material available on request. The optical tube assemblies are designed to accommodate most common accessories including:
- Focal reducer
- Field rotator
- Filter wheel
- Off-axis guider
Visual and CCD imaging are both available. The optical tube assemblies use carbon fiber trusses for thermal stability. Closed tubes are available if required.
